How to run a method every 10 seconds in Android ?

•    Add the following code to res/layout/activity_main.xml.

•    Add the following code to src/MainActivity.java

      handler.postDelayed(runnable = new Runnable() {
         public void run() {

            Toast.makeText(MainActivity.this, "This method is run every 10 seconds",
            Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
         }
      }, delay);
      super.onResume();
   }
   @Override
   protected void onPause() {
      handler.removeCallbacks(runnable); //stop handler when activity not visible super.onPause();
   }
}

•     Add the following code to androidManifest.xml
